What is Sudozip?
A 6×6 sudoku with Zip. Fill every row, every column and every 2×3 box with the numbers 1 to 6. Each puzzle is generated for you and has exactly one solution. Pick Easy, Medium or Hard.
Sudozip is a free 6×6 sudoku with Zip. The rules are the classic ones on a smaller board: every row, every column and every 2×3 box holds the numbers 1 to 6 exactly once. It's the perfect size for a coffee break, and a great way to learn sudoku before moving on to 9×9.
Every puzzle is generated in your browser and checked to have exactly one solution, so you can always solve it by logic, never by guessing. Choose Easy (18 clues), Medium (14) or Hard (11), use notes to pencil in candidates, and take a hint when you're stuck.

How to play
- Fill
- Put 1 to 6 once in every row, every column and every 2×3 box.
- Place
- Tap a square, then a number. On a keyboard: arrows to move, 1–6 to place, Backspace to erase.
- Notes
- Turn on Notes (or press N) to pencil in candidates. Placing a number clears it from the notes around it.
- Score
- Easy 1,000, Medium 1,500, Hard 2,000 points, minus 2 a second and 150 per hint. Clashes show in red.
Scoring
Easy starts at 1,000 points, Medium at 1,500 and Hard at 2,000. Every second costs 2 points and every hint 150, never below 100.
What it trains
- Logical deduction
- Every number placed follows from what you can prove.
- Scanning
- Checking rows, columns and boxes for where a number can go.
- Focus
- Short puzzles you finish in one sitting.
Strategy and tips
- Start with the crowded lines
- A row or box with four or five numbers often leaves one obvious gap.
- Scan each number
- Pick a number, say 3, and look where it can still go in each box.
- Only one place
- If a number fits in only one square of a row, column or box, it goes there, even if that square has other candidates.
- Use notes
- Pencil in candidates on hard puzzles; placing a number clears it from the notes around it.
- Red means clash
- A red number repeats in its row, column or box. Fix it before you build on it.
Why play Sudozip?
Sudoku trains logical deduction and focus: every move follows from what you can prove. The 6×6 size keeps puzzles short and friendly while teaching the same techniques as the full game.
