Scam Estate: a free game about property and rental scams

Flats too cheap to be true and owners always abroad. Tap the red flags and walk away from property scams.

What is Scam Estate?

Flats to rent and houses for sale, as listings and messages from owners. Tap every line that is a red flag, then arrange a viewing or walk away. Some listings are genuine, so don't walk away from everything.

Strategy and tips

See it first
Never pay for a home you haven't visited, in person or through someone you trust.
Check who owns it
A real agent, an address, papers and a phone number you can call.
Pressure and odd payments
Rushing, gift cards and changed bank details are the scammer's tools.

Why play Scam Estate?

A rental deposit is often the biggest payment someone makes to a stranger. Knowing the warning signs keeps it safe.

Frequently asked questions

Is Scam Estate free?

Yes. It is free and runs in your browser, with no download. Signing up is optional.

Is this financial advice?

No. Every number is an example in fictional coins, made up for the game. It teaches the ideas; for real decisions, look at your own situation and local rules, or ask a qualified adviser.

Are there levels?

Yes: Beginner, Intermediate and Expert. The numbers, the hints and the clock change, and each level keeps its own best score.

How is it different from Scam Jam?

Scam Jam is about phishing emails and texts. Scam Estate is about fake listings and owners when renting or buying a home.
