How to play

Compare
Net rent is rent minus upkeep. Over a year, divided by the price, it gives the yield.
Buy
Pick one plot within your savings: the best yield scores most.
Three levels
Beginner, Intermediate or Expert, picked before you play: the content and the clock change, and each level keeps its own best score.
Coins
Example numbers in plain fictional coins, made up for the game. Not financial advice.

Scoring

300 for the best-value plot you can afford, 150 for the second best, 60 for the third, in each of 3 neighbourhoods.

Each level keeps its own best score in this browser.

What it trains

Value vs price
Comparing what a thing earns with what it costs.
Quick maths
Net rent and yearly yield.

Strategy and tips

Net, not gross
Take rent minus upkeep first. A high rent with a high upkeep can be worse than a modest, cheap-to-run flat.
Yearly over price
Net rent × 12 ÷ price gives the yield. Compare that number, not the rent alone.
Empty land
A lot earns nothing until something is built on it, and still costs upkeep.

Why play First Plot?

Value vs price is the first question of any purchase. Learning to compare what a thing earns with what it costs helps far beyond property.
