Best Time to Post: free game to schedule posts by time zone
Read your audience chart and schedule posts when they're awake.
What is Best Time to Post?
Ten made-up audience charts show how many of your followers are online at each hour of the day. Find the peak, convert a chart from your followers' time zone into yours, spot the slot they'd sleep through, and finally split a post between two cities. Every answer is computed from the chart on screen.
Best Time to Post is a free game about timing. Each round shows a made-up audience chart: 24 bars, one per hour, showing how many of your followers are online. You pick the time slot that reaches them best, from four options.
It starts simple, with a chart in your own time. Then the charts switch to your followers' city, a few hours ahead of or behind you, so you have to convert before you schedule. Next you spot the slot most of them would sleep through, and the last rounds split your audience between two cities, where the best time is a compromise. Every answer is worked out from the chart.

How to play
- Read the chart
- Each bar is one hour. The taller the bar, the more of your followers are online.
- Check whose time it is
- Some charts are in your followers' time. If they're 3 hours behind you, add 3 to get your time.
- Pick a slot
- Tap a time or press 1 to 4. The last charts split followers between two cities: weigh each group by its share.
- Score
- 100 per right slot, +10 per right answer in a row (up to +50). A wrong slot costs one of 3 lives.
Scoring
Each right time slot scores 100 points, plus 10 for every right answer in a row before it (up to 50).
A wrong slot costs one of your 3 lives. A run is 10 charts, from finding the peak to splitting a post between two cities.
What it trains
- Reading activity charts
- Finding when most of your followers are online.
- Time zones
- Converting a chart in your followers' time into your own before scheduling.
- Split audiences
- Weighing two groups by their share to find the best compromise slot.
Strategy and tips
- Find the tallest bar
- The peak is when most followers are online. Posting then gives your post the best start.
- Read the chart's time zone
- "Their time" and "your time" can be hours apart. Scheduling tools usually work in your own time.
- Ahead means subtract
- If followers are 5 hours ahead of you, their 21:00 is your 16:00.
- Weigh split audiences
- With 60% here and 40% abroad, multiply each group's bar by its share and add them up.
- Test your own data
- Every audience is different. Charts like these come from your own insights page, and they change over time.
Why play Best Time to Post?
A great post published while your audience sleeps starts with almost no one seeing it. Reading an activity chart and converting time zones are small skills that make every post work harder, and they matter more as audiences spread across countries.
Frequently asked questions
Is Best Time to Post free?
Yes. It is free and runs in your browser, with no download. Signing up is optional.
Is there one best time to post for everyone?
No. It depends on who your followers are and where they live. That's why the game makes you read each chart instead of memorising a time.
Are the cities and charts real?
No. The cities, audiences and numbers are made up and generated fresh each run.
Can I play with a keyboard or a screen reader?
Yes. Keys 1 to 4 pick a time, and each chart has a hidden table of its hourly values for screen readers.
