Content Calendar Crunch: free content planning game

Plan a month of posts: mix formats, topics and days without burning out.

What is Content Calendar Crunch?

Plan three months of Snapgram posts for a made-up creator. Place each post card, a Reel, a Carousel, a Live, on a posting day while the checklist watches: a weekly energy cap, no format twice in a row, one promo a week, Lives on Fridays, and a launch with a teaser before it.

Content Calendar Crunch is a free puzzle game about planning social media posts. You run the Snapgram calendar of a made-up creator, a plant shop or a bike repair channel, for three months. Each month comes with a tray of post cards: Reels, Carousels, Photos, Polls and Lives, each with a topic and an effort from ⚡1 to ⚡3.

Place every card on a posting day while a live checklist watches the rules: stay under the weekly energy cap so you don't burn out, never post the same format twice in a row, keep promos to one a week, put Lives on Fridays when the audience is around, vary topics within a week, and post a teaser before the launch. Each month adds rules, and the last one has two cards that are better left out.

How to play

Pick a post
Each card has a format, a topic and an effort from ⚡1 to ⚡3.
Place it
Tap a card, then a day on the calendar. Tap a placed card to move it or send it back to the tray.
Keep the rules
The checklist turns red as soon as a rule breaks. Each month adds rules, and the last one has 2 cards to leave out.
Score
Each rule kept scores 100, minus 40 for each slip. A perfect month adds 100.

Scoring

Each rule a month keeps scores 100, minus 40 for every slip (never below 0). A month with every rule kept adds a 100-point bonus.

Three months: 2 rules, then 4, then 6, with 2 extra cards to leave out in the last one. There's no timer. Your best score is kept in this browser.

What it trains

Content planning
Turning a pile of post ideas into a calendar you can actually keep.
Content mix
Balancing formats, topics and promotion so the feed stays varied and useful.
Sustainable pace
Spreading effort across weeks so posting doesn't lead to burnout.

Strategy and tips

Start with the fixed posts
Place the launch, the teaser and the Lives first, then fill around them.
Spread the heavy posts
Two ⚡3 posts in one week rarely fit. Pair a big Reel with a quick Poll or Photo.
Alternate formats
The rule runs across weeks too: the last post of one week and the first of the next can't share a format.
Space out promos
One promo per week, at most. The rest of the week gives value: tips, stories, fun.
Leave out the traps
In month 3, an extra sale or a marathon Live can break the energy cap or the promo rule. Not every idea has to be posted.

Why play Content Calendar Crunch?

A content calendar turns a vague wish to post more into a plan you can keep. Content Calendar Crunch practises the trade-offs real creators and social media managers make every week: variety against effort, selling against giving value, and fixed dates against everything else. It also trains the habit of checking a plan against clear rules before you publish, not after.

Frequently asked questions

Is Content Calendar Crunch free?

Yes. It is free and runs in your browser, with no download. Signing up is optional.

Is there a timer?

No. It's a calm puzzle: take the time you need. Your score depends only on the rules you keep.

Are the creators and the audience data real?

No. Snapgram, the creators, their posts and the Friday-evening audience peak are made-up examples.

Can I play with a keyboard or a screen reader?

Yes. Every card and every day is a button with its full description, the checklist says which rules are kept or broken, and Esc drops a picked card.
