Comment Moderator: free game to learn community management

Your post blew up. Reply, hide or report each comment, keep the vibe kind.

What is Comment Moderator?

A made-up creator's pottery video blew up on Snapgram and the comments are pouring in. Reply to questions and fair criticism, hide spam and off-topic noise, report threats, harassment and scams, and pick the better reply when one is needed. Abuse is never written out, only described.

Comment Moderator is a free community management game. A made-up creator's pottery video has blown up on Snapgram, and you're in charge of the comments: questions, fair criticism, a late order, spam, an off-topic fight, a fake giveaway account. For each one, choose Reply, Hide or Report before the timer runs out.

When a comment deserves an answer, you also pick the better of two replies. Every call is explained: why polite criticism should get a reply instead of being hidden, why spam is hidden, and why threats, harassment, hate, scams and private details are reported. Abuse is never written out: it's described in brackets, like "an insult about someone's looks", so the game stays all-ages.

How to play

Reply
Questions, fair criticism, real problems and kind words deserve an answer. Then pick the better of two replies.
Hide
Spam, chain messages, off-topic fights and one-off rude jabs: hide them instead of feeding them.
Report
Threats, harassment, hate, scams and private information break the rules: report them.
Score
100 per best call (×2 after 4 in a row, ×3 after 8) plus up to 50 for speed, 40 for an okay call, 50 for a good reply. 3 lives, 3 waves, faster each wave.

Scoring

The best call scores 100, ×2 after 4 in a row and ×3 after 8, plus up to 50 for speed. An okay call scores 40 without losing a life, and picking the better reply adds 50.

A wrong call or a timeout costs one of 3 lives. Three waves of 5 comments, with 12, 9 and then 7 seconds each. Your best score is kept in this browser.

What it trains

Community management
Deciding fast what deserves a reply, what should be hidden and what must be reported.
Writing replies
Choosing answers that are honest, kind and useful, even to criticism.
Online safety
Recognising threats, harassment, scams, impersonators and leaked private details.

Strategy and tips

Don't hide criticism
Fair, polite criticism isn't an attack. A light, honest reply builds more trust than silence.
Move details to private
For order problems, apologise in public and ask for the order number in a direct message.
Hide noise, report harm
Spam and off-topic fights get hidden. Threats, harassment, hate, scams and private info get reported.
Watch for impostors
An account that looks like the creator and asks for card details is a scam: report it.
Use the keys
On a keyboard, 1 replies, 2 hides and 3 reports.

Why play Comment Moderator?

Every account that grows ends up with a comment section to look after. Community management is about deciding fast what deserves an answer, what should quietly disappear and what has to be reported, and about replying in a way that makes people want to come back. Comment Moderator practises those calls on a friendly, made-up post, with an explanation after each one.

Frequently asked questions

Is Comment Moderator free?

Yes. It is free and runs in your browser, with no download. Signing up is optional.

Is the content suitable for kids?

Yes. Rude or abusive comments are never written out: they're described in brackets, like "a threat to hurt the creator".

Is there sometimes more than one okay answer?

Yes. Spam can be hidden or reported, for example. The best call scores 100 plus speed, an okay one scores 40 without losing a life.

Are the people and numbers real?

No. Snapgram, the creator, the commenters and the view counts are made up.
