How to play
- Each month
- Buy plots at their value, bid in the sealed auction, answer trade offers or take a loan, then end the month.
- Money moves
- Rent in, upkeep and loan payments out. Run out of cash and your cheapest plot is sold at 80%.
- Win
- Net worth = cash + plots − loans. Finish 1st for the biggest bonus.
- Three levels
- Beginner, Intermediate or Expert, picked before you play: the content and the clock change, and each level keeps its own best score.
- Coins
- Example numbers in plain fictional coins, made up for the game. Not financial advice.
Scoring
10 a month, then 50 plus points for net worth gained, and 300, 150 or 50 for finishing 1st, 2nd or 3rd.
Eight to twelve months per run.
What it trains
- Net worth
- Assets minus debts.
- Strategy
- Balancing growth, cash and risk against rivals.
Strategy and tips
- Rent over costs
- A plot should bring in more rent than its upkeep and any loan payment it needs.
- Keep a cushion
- A bad Month Card with an empty bank means a forced sale at 80%.
- Buy under value
- Auctions and trades are where you can pay less than a plot is worth, or more if you're careless.
Why play City Grid Finals?
It brings together every Money Moves idea: value vs price, cash flow, loans, auctions, trades and net worth.
