Automation Station: free game to learn workflow automation
When this happens, if that's true, then do it. Chain the right blocks so the job runs itself.
What is Automation Station?
Every job has a recipe: WHEN something happens, IF a condition is true, THEN do the actions. Pick the right blocks from the heap, in the right order, before the clock runs out.
Automation Station is a logic puzzle about workflow automation, the kind you build with no-code tools like Zapier, Make or n8n. Each job has a goal, such as adding every new contact to a list or warning the sales team about big orders. Build the chain from a heap of blocks: a WHEN (the trigger), optional IFs (conditions) and THENs (actions), in the right order.
Chains grow from 2 blocks to 5, and the heap hides decoys that look right but do the wrong thing. A broken chain costs a life; fix it and run it again before time's up.

How to play
- Read
- The job says what should happen on its own, like adding every new contact to a list.
- Chain
- Tap blocks to add them to your chain: a WHEN, maybe some IFs, then the THENs.
- Run
- Run it. A broken chain costs a life; fix it and run again before time's up.
- Decoys
- Some blocks look right but do the wrong thing. First-try chains score a bonus.
Strategy and tips
- One trigger
- Every chain starts with exactly one WHEN: the event that starts it.
- Filter early
- IF blocks come right after the trigger, so the actions only run when they should.
- Order the actions
- Create before you share, register before you confirm: actions often depend on each other.
- Mind the scope
- “Send to everyone” or “delete” blocks are usually decoys.
- Nothing happens? Schedule it
- When the event is something not happening (a late invoice), the trigger is a daily check.
Why play Automation Station?
Automation saves hours of repetitive work, and its logic (trigger, condition, action) is the same in every tool. Automation Station trains that way of thinking before you ever open an automation app.
