Meet Zip & the Gang, the crew of SkillXGames
SkillXGames, the free browser games site where people train real skills (typing, spreadsheets, spotting a scam, focus) in a few minutes a day, introduces its crew: Zip & the Gang. Seven original pixel characters, each one a small habit of the screen we all know, from the alert that won't wait to the list of things saved for later.
The idea is simple: the habits that get in the way become friends who help you practise. Zip, a little red flame, leads the way. Thumby, Skip, Later, Buffer, Ding and CC each host the games that train the skill they stand for. The crew is shared with SkillxTube, the learning site across the bridge, so players meet the same faces on both sides.
Players meet them in the games, walk around the Community town as one of them, collect their cards by playing, and find them waiting in the Zen Room between two games.

Zip
Your study buddy
A little red flame in an orange and yellow striped scarf.
Stands for: The lead and your study buddy: quick to start, and keeps you going until it's done.
Meet them: Everywhere first: Zip vs the Brainrot, the game start cards and the first crew card.
Thumby
The thumbnail
A pink rounded TV screen in a red frame, always amazed.
Stands for: The thumbnail: clicks first, then learns to look twice.
Meet them: Hosts Thumbnail Click and Like Master in the Arcade.
Skip
The skip button
A grey buddy with a game controller and a ⏩ on the tummy.
Stands for: The skip button: skips the intro, never the instructions.
Meet them: Hosts Skip the Ad and Comment Section in the Arcade.
Later
The Watch Later list
A sleepy bear in a starry purple sleeping bag.
Stands for: The Watch Later list: saves everything for later, so you can start now.
Meet them: Hosts Later's Queue and Watch Later.
Buffer
The loading circle
A blue blob with loading dots that spin.
Stands for: The loading circle: takes a moment, then rolls. Slow is fine, stopped isn't.
Meet them: Co-hosts Live Moderation, keeping a busy chat friendly.
Ding
The notification bell
A yellow notification bell with one more alert.
Stands for: The distraction you learn to tame: he can wait until your lesson is done.
Meet them: Focus Mode is Ding's game: let the alerts wait and finish what you started.
CC
The captions
A lilac blob with a speech bubble.
Stands for: The captions and careful reading: reads every word, so nothing slips past.
Meet them: Shows up in the reading games, like Typo Hunter.
Where you meet them

- The Community town →Walk the pixel village as any of the crew, chat with players and cross the bridge to SkillxTube.
- The crew cards →Eight collectible cards, unlocked by the SkillXP you earn by playing, never by buying.
- The Zen Room →A quiet room in town: pixel landscapes, box breathing and a focus timer.
