Inflation Avenue

10,000 coins and a few years on an avenue where bread, rent and cinema tickets cost more every year. Spread your money across cash, a savings account, a share of a rented flat and a market fund, and see what it can still buy at the end.

5–6 years

How to play

Spread. Move 10% steps between the buckets. Whatever you don't place stays in cash.
Live the year. Prices rise; each bucket grows or drops. Beat inflation to keep your buying power.
Three levels. Beginner, Intermediate or Expert, picked before you play: the content and the clock change, and each level keeps its own best score.
Coins. Example numbers in plain fictional coins, made up for the game. Not financial advice.

Quick tips

Cash shrinks quietly. The number stays the same, but each year it buys less.
Beat the rate. A savings rate below inflation still loses buying power, just more slowly.
