Verified Badge: a free game about fake accounts

What is Verified Badge?

You paid for the little check mark next to your name. So did a crowd of fake versions of you, and they're messaging your Mum. Find the real you among look-alikes that all wear the same badge.

Verified Badge is a free satire game about impersonation. You paid for the little check mark next to your name, and so did a crowd of fake versions of you.

Each round, find the real profile among look-alikes that all wear the same badge. The handle, the join date, the posts and the bio give them away. Every wrong pick is an impostor messaging your Mum.

What it trains

Spotting impersonators

Handles, join dates, history.

Attention to detail

Reading character by character.

Strategy and tips

Read handles letter by letter

Doubled letters, “rn” instead of “m”, underscores and “_official” are classic.

Check the history

A brand-new account with no posts is a red flag, badge or not.

Be wary of “my old account was hacked”

Call people on a number you already know before you send anything.

Why play Verified Badge?

A badge you can buy proves someone paid, not who they are. Impersonators count on people trusting the check mark.
