Quick tips

• Ask "does it need me?". If something still needs your action soon, keep it close. If not, it can move out of sight.
• Archive records, delete noise. Receipts, warranties and pay summaries can matter later. Expired codes and unread newsletters can't.
• One screen for daily tools. Apps you open every week earn the home screen. Rare but useful ones go in a folder.
• People first. Let messages from people and time-sensitive alerts buzz. Sales pitches and nudges to come back can stop.
• Save, then close. Before closing an old account, download the photos or writing you'd miss. Remember: deleting an app doesn't cancel a subscription.
