Egg Hunt Grid

Zip has hidden painted eggs in a spring garden split into flower beds. Every row, every column and every bed shows how many eggs it hides. Use those counts, and a few squares already dug up, to find every egg without guessing. Four gardens, from 4×4 to 6×6, each with exactly one answer.

Logic

How to play

Read the counts. The number at the end of a row, on top of a column or in the corner of a flower bed is how many eggs hide there.
Mark the squares. Tap a square to cycle egg, grass (no egg) and empty. Arrow keys move, Enter marks. Ringed squares are already dug up.
Deduce, don't guess. A full clue turns the rest to grass; a clue with exactly enough open squares makes them all eggs. Every garden has one answer.
Score. 100 points per garden, +25 per level, a speed bonus under par and −30 per hint. Each hint explains its reasoning.

Quick tips

Start with zeros. A row, column or bed with 0 eggs is all grass. Mark it first: it shrinks every clue it crosses.
Look for full houses. If a clue needs 3 eggs and only 3 squares are still open, all 3 are eggs.
