Basic strategy

How to play

Play the hand. Hit, stand, double or split, by tap or with the keys H, S, D and P.
Read the odds. Your bust chance if you hit and the dealer's bust chance, exact from the real shoe.
Coach. Turn the coach on to hear the basic strategy move first. It halves that decision's points.
Score. 100 per decision that matches basic strategy (50 with the coach). Chips don't count.

Quick tips

Stiff hands vs weak dealers. Stand on 13–16 against a dealer 2–6, and on 12 against 4–6: the dealer busts often.
Stiff hands vs strong dealers. Against 7 or higher, hit 12–16. The dealer usually makes 17 or more.
Always split aces and 8s. Two aces are a poor 12; two 8s make 16, the worst total.
Double 10 and 11. Double 10 against 2–9 and 11 against 2–10 under these rules.
Soft hands can't bust. A hand with an ace counted as 11 can always take one more card.
