Name That Face: free memory game to remember names
Meet the team, hear their names once. Then match every face to the right name and job.
What is Name That Face?
Meet a small team one person at a time: a face, a first name and a job, for a few seconds each. Then the faces come back in a new order. Pick the right name, then the right job. Each level adds one person, from 3 up to 8.
Name That Face is a free memory game for remembering names. You meet a small team one person at a time: an illustrated face, a first name and an everyday job like baker, nurse or pilot. After a few seconds the next person steps up. Then the faces come back in a new order and you match each one to the right name and the right job.
Every level adds one person, from 3 to 8. The wrong options are mostly the other team members' names and jobs, so you can't guess from what sounds new. All the people are made up and drawn from simple shapes, every face has a text description for screen readers, and keys 1 to 4 pick an answer.

What it trains
- Remembering names
- Linking a new name to a face after hearing it once, the networking superpower.
- Face–fact links
- Holding two facts per person, a name and a job, and keeping them apart.
- Attention to detail
- Noticing the hair, glasses or shirt that makes each person different.
Strategy and tips
- Link name to face
- Tie the name to something you see: "Kofi, curly hair", "Mei, round glasses".
- Say it back
- Repeat each name in your head as the person appears, like you would when you shake hands.
- Make the job a picture
- Imagine the person at work: Lars the baker covered in flour sticks better than a word.
- Use the full look
- Hair, glasses, earrings and shirt colour all differ in a team. Pick one detail per person.
- Don't rush the study
- Next is there for when you're ready. Fast answers earn a little bonus; good study earns a lot more.
Why play Name That Face?
Forgetting a name right after hearing it is normal: the name arrives while you're busy with everything else. Practising the link between a face, a name and a detail makes that link quicker to build in real meetings, at work, at the school gate or at a party.
