Kindness Chain: free Ramadan and Eid good deeds puzzle game
Link good deeds so the whole street ends up helped.
What is Kindness Chain?
Five streets of neighbours, each needing something: a warm meal, a helping hand, a little gift, or tea and a chat. Leave home with one good deed, bring it to a neighbour who needs it, and they pass a deed of their own on to the next house. Plan the chain so every house on the street is helped.
Kindness Chain is a free planning puzzle about the neighbourly side of Ramadan and Eid, a time when many families share food, lend a hand and visit people who are on their own. Each street is a small map of houses joined by lanes, and every house needs one thing: a warm meal, a helping hand, a little gift, or tea and a chat.
You leave home carrying one good deed. Bring it to a neighbour on a lane who needs exactly that, and they pass a deed of their own on to the next house. Help every house in one chain. Each street is built around a hidden route through all the houses, so it can always be solved, but a few tempting turns lead to dead ends.

How to play
- Bring what's needed
- Tap a house on a lane from where you are that needs exactly the deed you carry.
- Pass it on
- A helped house lights up and gives you its own deed for the next house, shown after the arrow.
- Help every house
- Each house is helped once, in one chain. Some turns lead to a dead end, and every street can be solved.
- Score
- 100 per street plus 10 per house. Undo costs 10, a hint 25.
Scoring
Each street scores 100 plus 10 per house helped. An undo costs 10 and a hint 25; a street never scores below 40.
There are no lives: every street can be solved, and tapping a house you can't help yet just explains why. Your best score is kept in this browser.
What it trains
- Planning ahead
- Checking what each step leads to before taking it.
- Spotting dead ends
- Seeing which turns leave no way to finish.
- Generosity
- How one good deed sets off the next, house by house.
Strategy and tips
- Check what comes next
- Before you help a house, look at what it passes on. If nobody nearby needs that, it's a dead end.
- Save lonely houses for last
- A house with only one lane is usually where the chain has to end.
- Plan two steps ahead
- Think about where you're going and what you'll be carrying when you get there.
- Pick the harder one first
- When two houses need what you carry, help the one that will be harder to reach later.
- Undo early
- The longer you walk down a dead end, the more steps you have to take back.
Why play Kindness Chain?
Kindness Chain is a path-finding puzzle: visit every house once, following lanes, where each step decides what you can do next. It trains looking ahead and spotting dead ends before you reach them, the same planning habit used for routes, schedules and to-do lists. And it shows how small favours add up when everyone passes them on.
Frequently asked questions
Is Kindness Chain free?
Yes. It is free and runs in your browser, with no download. Signing up is optional.
Can every street be solved?
Yes. Each street is made by first drawing a route through every house, then adding extra lanes. The game also checks that a full chain exists before you play.
What happens if I get stuck?
Undo the last house for 10 points, or take a hint for 25: it steps back if needed and shows you the next house of a working chain.
Can I play with a keyboard or a screen reader?
Yes. Every house is a button that says what it needs, what it passes on and which houses it's linked to, and each move is announced.
