Date Night Budget: free Valentine's budgeting game
Plan a great evening with a small budget.
What is Date Night Budget?
Four evenings to plan: a third date, a Galentine's night with friends, an anniversary and a family day out, each on a small example budget. Pick what you do, eat, how you get there and a little extra, but read the small print: per person, each way, booking fees and tips change the real total.
Date Night Budget is a free Valentine's Day money game. Plan four evenings: a third date, a Galentine's night with friends, a five-year anniversary and a family day out. Each has a small example budget, and for each you pick what you do, what you eat, how you get there and a little extra.
The catch is the small print. A $6 ticket is per person, a $2 bus is each way, a free jazz night has a drink minimum, a bistro expects a tip. Your plan is booked on the real total, and the game shows the best possible plan for that budget, computed from every combination, so you see what the trade-offs were.

Small, social spending is where budgets quietly slip, because the price tag is rarely the full price. Adding up the real total before you book is a habit that saves money on every night out.
