Ally Moves: free Pride Month kindness and respect game
Pick the respectful reply in everyday situations.
What is Ally Moves?
Four short chapters of everyday moments: a friend's new pronouns, someone coming out to you, a joke that goes too far, and the moment you get a name wrong. Pick the most respectful of three replies, and every reply explains why it works or doesn't.
Ally Moves is a free Pride Month game about the small things that make people feel respected. An ally is someone who supports LGBTQ+ people, and most of that support happens in ordinary moments: using the name someone gives you, reacting kindly when a friend comes out, or saying something when a joke goes too far.
Each run has four chapters of three scenes. Pick the most respectful of three replies, and every reply explains itself, so you learn something whether you get it right or not. There's no timer, and the advice is short and practical: no lectures, just what to say next.

What it trains
- Inclusive communication
- Using people's names and pronouns, and reacting warmly when someone comes out.
- Speaking up
- Short, calm ways to push back on a joke at someone's expense.
- Owning mistakes
- Fixing a slip quickly, with a brief sorry and no fuss.
Strategy and tips
- Keep it simple
- Thanks, then use the right name. Most of the time, that's the whole answer.
- Their story, their choice
- If someone comes out to you, they decide who else knows and when.
- Short beats loud
- Calling out a joke works best in one calm line, then moving on.
- Fix it and go
- After a slip, correct yourself, say a brief sorry and carry on.
- Ask in private
- If you're unsure of someone's pronouns, use their name and ask one-to-one.
Why play Ally Moves?
Inclusive communication is a skill, not a script. Practising replies to common situations makes it easier to respond kindly in the moment instead of freezing or saying something you regret. The same habits, listening, respecting people's own words for themselves, and owning mistakes quickly, help in every friendship, team and classroom.
