Quick tips

• Divide, then check the rest. 18 ÷ 4 is 4 each with 2 left over. Leftovers go on the family plate, not in one box.
• Add the ratio parts. For 2:3, one mix is 5 sweets. Divide the box size by 5, then multiply each part.
• Go per guest. To scale a tray, first find what one guest gets, then multiply by the new number of guests.
• Most boxes = biggest common factor. The most identical boxes is the biggest number that divides both counts.
• Top up to a multiple. To share evenly, round the total up to the next multiple of the number of guests.
